The Role

As our business grows in size and complexity, a deep understanding of our data is vital to our continued expansion and financial health. Lovevery is recruiting a Senior Analyst to help us build a deeper understanding of our business through data. This person will empower business users to make informed decisions by providing thorough, defensible analysis, identifying opportunities for business optimization, and building models as well as reporting to help the business execute against a plan.

Passion for data -- You will be a key owner of the rules behind the transformation of data into insights, and responsible for surfacing reliable results to drive recommendations and reporting. You will be thoughtful about the relevant data points needed and obsessed with accurate data that can be understood and leveraged by the business.

Driven towards holistic understanding -- You will be self-motivated to understand the full picture behind our data rather, continually poke holes in our current beliefs, and work cross functionally to improve the capture and transformation of relevant data and insights.

Startup mindset –- You will often have to find creative short-term solutions to get to an answer and be aware of and communicate the potential pitfalls in the data you were able to compile, while considering the ideal future state and communicating requirements to internal or external partners.

Accountabilities

  • Intake, scope, and prioritize analytical requests
  • Approach problems in a way that maximizes accuracy, is scalable for future insights / projects, and can be easily explained to and understood by other analysts and business users
  • Synthesize findings into concise emails or presentations with clear recommendations, transparency into caveats, and well-defined cross-functional next steps
  • Provide strategic thought partnership for key decision makers based on a thorough understanding of all relevant data
  • Communicating longer term requirements to Engineering or external partners to improve accuracy, speed, or structure of data

Qualifications and Attributes

  • 4+ years of relevant analytical experience
  • 4+ years working in a data warehouse
  • Advanced in SQL, with priority placed on accurate and readable code
  • Experience in Google Analytics and Marketing Analytics
  • Experience building analytical models
  • BS/BA in a quantitative degree
  • Experience with Looker a plus
  • Strong communicator; experience working with non-technical stakeholders a plus
