Lovevery is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer startup cofounded by successful serial entrepreneurs and based in Boise, Idaho. Our customers are parents, and our mission is to help them feel confident they are giving their children meaningful development experiences in the critical early years of life. To achieve that with consistency, Lovevery needs to be operationally excellent. Lovevery is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager to oversee overall supply chain planning strategy to include: Inventory management, supply and demand planning, PO creation, and project execution. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Operations. The following attributes in a candidate are essential to success in this role:

With everyone driving hard to achieve the company’s goals, it is critical to have strong project planning and structured approaches to big financial decisions like purchase orders. You are a natural project manager.

Accountabilities:

  • Demand Planning:
    • Partner with Finance, Marketing, and company leadership to build and establish a regular S&OP process to support key business decisions and visibility
    • Analyze key demand information from our POS to build statistical forecasts and models
    • Convert sales budget and forecast into quarterly and monthly inventory requirements, leading responsibility for issuance of all purchase orders
    • Facilitate discussion on mitigation, trade-offs or alternatives demand vs. supply gaps
  • Supply Planning:
    • Maintain lockstep alignment with manufacturing partners across the globe to understand capacity and manufacturing capabilities
    • Build purchase order recommendations based on supply requirements
    • Build and deliver master production schedules that support internal sales forecasts and inventory needs based on any constraints
  • Inventory Management :
    • Analyze inventory levels based on sales demand and business objectives
    • Build and maintain inventory metrics dashboard that show overall “Inventory Health”
    • Ensure all inventory metrics are met. Identify action items, marshal resources to address action items and follow up on all inventory-related issues to full resolution
    • Identify and present ways of optimizing inventory based on historical sales data
    • Monitor and track inventory levels and reconcile inventory variances using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
    • Manage initiatives to ensure supply chain resources support customer demand
  • Special Projects:
    • Support the CEO and Sr. Director of Operations with various initiatives aimed at strategically optimizing the supply chain and the overall business
    • Develop and document best practices as a “playbook” to support a growing business
    • Build operational requirements and support the roll-out of ERP / MRP planning tools
    • Build a quarterly business review framework to review with contract manufacturers and Asia supply chain
    • Build and execute a sustainable supply chain program with a suite of underlying initiatives

Qualifications and attributes:

  • 5 or more years experience in supply chain management
  • 2 or more years experience with supply / demand management; proven ability to build models and present data summaries
  • 2 or more years in managing complex projects or initiatives
  • Experience with low volume high mix and component parts in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Asia at least quarterly
  • BS in Economics, Math, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Engineering preferred. Master degree is a plus; please provide GPA and other indicators of academic performance in your resume; preference for candidates who attended rigorous academic programs
  • APICS “Certified Supply Chain Professional" (CSCP) or “Certified in Production and Inventory Management" (CPIM) or equivalent is a plus
