The Role

Lovevery is looking for a Director to own books as a product line. Lovevery’s social stories help children to develop social emotional skills, process transitions, and develop a love of reading. They provide windows into different worlds and highlight universal moments that resonate with children and parents alike. We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mind who can identify and seize opportunities to expand the impact of Lovevery’s library. This leader will be both visionary and business oriented—and above all believe in the power of stories for children’s development. This candidate will report directly to the VP of Innovation.

  • Manage multiple parallel projects at the same time
  • Work with authors and customers to bring meaningful, relevant stories to life
  • Collaborate with the product testing team to ensure the stories attract children and match their developmental stage
  • Collaborate with product development to deliver books on time and in coordination with Play Kit development milestones
  • Work closely with our internal Equity & Inclusion advisors to ensure authentic and positive representation of storylines, families, identities and children.
  • Track performance of Lovevery books on the market and identify areas for improvement
  • Establish and streamline a process for book development that helps us grow and scale without losing the special unique quality of our books
  • Document and formalize the criteria that defines a successful Lovevery book
  • Advocate for books and take the initiative to identify future book driven business opportunities
